SkyrimScape Discord

Realms

Every SkyrimScape realm and what it is doing now. The server runs the game: its scripts, its quests and its NPCs' days, so every player sees the same world. Each realm measures these numbers itself and sends them to the account server every 5 seconds; this page reads them every 5 seconds.

Reading the realm list.

What the numbers are

The server

Players online
Characters in the world on that realm now, out of the most the realm admits at once, and the most there have been at once since the realm last started.
Median ping
The round trip between the realm and the players in the world, the middle value of all of them.
Server tick rate
How many times a second the realm updates the world: movement, combat, NPCs, scripts and what each player is sent. The median and the 95th percentile are how long one update took over the last minute. An update has 50 ms at 20 Hz; while it stays under that, the realm keeps its rate.
Bandwidth per player
Kilobytes a second the realm sends, divided by the players online, over the last minute.
Realm CPU
The realm's processor time over the last minute, as a percentage of one processor core.
PostgreSQL queries a second
Database queries the realm completed a second over the last minute: saves, trades, mail, the ledger and everything else it keeps.
RAM per player
The memory the realm uses, divided by the players online. Most of it is the game's world data, loaded once whatever the number of players, so the figure falls as players join.
Replicated entities
Bodies the realm simulates and sends to players now: townspeople, guards, creatures, bandits and players.
Uptime
Hours since the realm last started. Characters, the world's state and every quest are kept in the database, so a restart loses nothing; this counts the time the realm has run without one.

The game on the server

Game scripts loaded
The game's own Papyrus scripts, as Bethesda compiled them, loaded into the server's own script engine. The server runs them; nothing is rewritten by hand.
Script objects live
Quests, quest aliases and objects in the world with a script attached that are live on the server now.
Script instructions a second
Papyrus instructions the server executed a second over the last minute.
Script functions run a second
Script functions and event handlers that ran to their end, a second, over the last minute.
Quests started
Quests the server started since it last started: by the game's Story Manager, by a script, or in a character's own story.
Quest stages set
Quest stages the server set since it last started.
Stories on the server
Characters whose own copy of the game's quests is loaded on the server now. Every character has its own story, and it is saved when they log out.
NPCs on the server's schedules
Named townspeople and guards whose day the server works out from the game's own AI packages: where they are, what they do and when.
NPC lines chosen
Lines of dialogue the server chose for NPCs to say since it last started: greetings, remarks and conversations between townspeople. Every player nearby hears the same line.
Blows judged
Weapon and spell hits the server applied since it last started. Under it, the blows a minute over the last minute.
Cells simulated
Areas of the world, outdoors and indoors, with a player in or near them, which the server is simulating now.

The numbers come from the realm itself and pass through the account server, which keeps only the fields listed here. A realm that has not reported for a minute is shown as offline with no numbers.
